Borris Lace Group was established in 2016 and meet each month in Borris House and Borris Library. Borris lace had been in decline as a craft and the group is focused on keeping it active. Through rigorous research, Marie Laurie and Annette Meldrum catalogued the history and stitches of the lace and published a book in 2010. Although Marie lives in Australia, she visits Borris regularly. The group welcomes new members who are interested in learning about and developing the Borris Lace tradition.
